Corken Stationary Application Pumps

For decades Corken has specialised in the transfer of hazardous, non-lubricating liquefied gases and low viscosity liquids. Corken pumps have thrived in these specialty applications that have been troublesome for other common pump designs.

INDUSTRIAL CORO-VANE® SERIES PUMPS

The positive displacement, sliding-vane design of the Coro-Vane® pump is well suited for higher capacity, medium head pumping applications.

The Coro-Vane® rotary vane pump is offered with a variety of sealing options. The sliding vane design is unique because it can handle small amounts of vapor formed at the pump suction, and the vanes are self-adjusting for extended wear.

Corken manufactures variations of its positive displacement, sliding vane design for various applications. Each of these offers unique features for the transfer of hazardous, non-lubricating liquefied gases and low viscosity liquids.

Pump Styles

  • Low Pressure CP Series Pumps
These pumps are designed for operating pressures up to 200 psi (13.8 bar) and flow rates up to 400 gpm (1,514 ℓ/min). They are ideal for various petroleum products with low vapor pressures such as petroleum based oils and fuels. These pumps are also capable of handling numerous thin liquids such as alcohols or solvents.
  • High Pressure CD Series Pumps
These pumps are designed with a ductile iron construction for operating pressures up to 400 psi (27.6 bar) and flow rates up to 400 gpm (1,514 ℓ/min). They are ideal for applications involving liquids at elevated pressures such as liquefied gases. CO2, ammonia, and various freons are examples of such liquefied gases. These sliding vane pumps were specifically designed for the transfer of such liquids.
  • Magnetic Drive Series Pumps
These pumps are offered in CP and CD versions which cover the range of operating pressures described above only with a seal-less design. This magnetic drive pump is ideal for pumping hazardous, toxic, foul smelling or other difficult to seal thin liquids.

INDUSTRIAL CORO-FLO® SERIES PUMPS

The regenerative turbine Coro-Flo® pump was specifically designed for high head, low flow applications involving light liquids. The regenerative turbine construction provides smooth continuous flow with trouble-free service for volatile liquefied gases.

Corken Coro-Flo® pumps are a regenerative turbine design. They produce a maximum differential pressure of 150 psig (10.3bar g).

Corken manufactures six sizes of Coro-Flo® pumps, ranging from 2 to 35 gpm (7.5 - 132 ℓ/min). These pumps can handle discharge pressures up to 400 psig (27.6 bar). These pumps are designed for continuous duty on light liquids.

Z-SERIES Z4500 STATIONARY PUMP

Higher capacities shorten fill times for transports and multiple bobtail loading.

The Z4500 is a four-inch stationary pump designed for transport loading and multiple bobtail loading applications. If you have two or more bulkheads to load bobtails and transports and would like to shorten your fill times, then the Z4500 is the stationary pump for you. The Z4500 can fill two 3,000 gallon bobtails in 20 minutes or less at typical operating RPMs.

Product Applications

Used for loading bobtails and transports through two or more bulkheads.

Product Features

  • Large diameter non-metallic pins are not speed sensitive so you can operate the pump at a higher RPM and not damage the pump.
  • High tech materials used on cam and blades help extend the life of the pump.
  • Unlike other four-inch stationary pumps rated at 640 RPM, the Z4500 is rated up to 800 RPM providing higher capacity without damage.
  • Maintenance made simple. When it becomes necessary to service the Z4500 stationary pump, all you need to do is remove eight head bolts to inspect the bearings, seals, sideplates, rotor, vanes and vane drivers.
  • Higher capacities than other four-inch stationary pumps—up to 15% more at typical operating conditions.

Z-SERIES Z3500 STATIONARY AND TRUCK PUMP

Higher flow rates - faster loading and unloading.

The Z3500 pump offers the same locked rotor design used in other Corken Z-series truck pumps. This and large diameter non-metallic pins, which are not speed-sensitive, ensure longer pump life. Maintenance is made simple with the removal of an inspection plate and the high-tech materials used on the cam and pump blades are designed to further extend the life of the pump.

A three inch foot mounted pump designed for stationary and truck-mounted applications, the Z3500 it is rated at 800 RPM as opposed to the more common 640 RPM. This gives it an improved flow rate over the Corken 1021, and even at 640 RPM, the flow rate is 7% up on the 1021.

Product Applications

Used for loading and unloading single and dual bobtails and road tankers.

Product Features

  • Large diameter non-metallic pins are not speed sensitive so you can operate the pump at a higher RPM and not damage the pump.
  • High tech materials used on the cam and blades help extend the life of the pump.
  • Up to 7% or more capacity at 640 RPM.
  • Unlike other three inch stationary pumps rated at 640 RPM, the Z3500 is rated up to 800 RPM providing higher capacity without damage.
  • Maintenance is made simple. When it becomes necessary to service the pump, all you need to do is remove twelve head bolts to inspect the bearings, seals, sideplates, rotor, vanes and vane drivers.
  • Retrofits the Corken model 1021 stationary pump and other three-inch competitive pumps with little or no change in piping.
